    Adis Sirbubalo, solo piano
    (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Bosnian-born pianist Adis Sirbubalo graduated in jazz piano performance from the prestigious Columbia College of Chicago in 2007. He attended a two-week workshop led by Roscoe Mitchell and Anthony Braxton and has worked with a host of world-renowned musicians, including Eddie Gomez, Christian McBride and Chuchito Valdes. Currently based in Sarajevo, he plays in Dino Merlin's band and is a member of Zoster and Sarajevo Jazz Guerrilla. In Slovenia, he is also known as a co-founder of the band Halka, which focuses on the heritage of Sevdalinka songs. Combined with elements of jazz and classical music, this traditional genre of folk music features prominently in Sirbubalo’s solo recital. He presented this signature material at the opening of the 24th International Jazz Fest Sarajevo in 2020, and the concert recording was released as a live album on Gramofon.

Due to the cancellation of his European tour Ben LaMar Gay will not perform at the 64th Ljubljana Jazz Festival.
